Jessica Riddle
Notwithstanding a great fear of vehicles and velocity (the result of a terrible car accident at a young age), Jessica rode her first dirt bike at age 39 when she could no longer, as a former competitive athlete, stand to be only on the sidelines.
Since then, with her husband Justin and son Bodie, Jessica has spent most weekends traveling, riding, and racing.
While she has a couple of Championships under her belt, Jessica is most happy when riding with friends, coaching new riders, and fostering community among her peers, and she has a passion for advocating for equitable race and class structure in the ever-growing girls and women’s classes in several local dirt bike series.
Some Highlights:
Running Skills and Drills with Jess for Southern Maryland Dirt Riders club; 2x Captain 6-woman team in the Kenda Northeast 24 Hour Challenge; Guest race report writing for Dirt Bike Girl Adventures; Pitching and coordinating the Moto Moms article for American Motorcyclist Magazine, May 2023, which highlighted 12+ amazing racing moms in VA; coaching new female riders at numerous women’s rides hosted by various clubs and race series; learning from Megan Griffiths in a Megs Braap clinic; attending multiple Over and Out Women’s campouts; 2020 Sprint Cross Country Series (SXCS) Women C Champion; 2022 Virginia Championship Hare Scramble Series (VCHSS) 40+ Women Champion; meeting her very best friends; and, last but not least, supporting Justin and Bodie in this crazy hare-scramble and hard enduro life! All with near-crippling anxiety (you can leave that part out 😅)!
While mostly retired from racing, Jessica looks forward to racing for Mary on August 31 and is anxious to learn myriad aspects of the motorcycle world from the awe-inspiring peers on this team.
