Ruth Belcher

Ruth Belcher is the founder of Global Moto Adventures, LLC, an organization dedicated to empowering women to chase their motorcycle travel dreams and build a vibrant, supportive community through initiatives like the annual Flock to the Rock event. Born in Cincinnati, she first climbed onto a Kawasaki KZ100 at age nine and, after stepping away to raise her family, reignited her passion with a Yamaha V-Star 1100. Determined to overcome her debilitating fear of flying and riding freeways, she set out on a life-changing 4,800-mile solo ride across 10 western states, which transformed her confidence and reawakened her sense of purpose.

Fueled by her love of adventure, Ruth later rode through northern India and Pakistan to fulfill lifelong dreams, including seeing the Taj Mahal, traversing remote Himalayan roads, and conquering Khardung La—the world's highest motorable mountain pass at 18,320 feet. In 2014, she met motorcycling legend Mary McGee at a Riders for Health rally in Brinnon, Washington, and has since spent countless hours traveling with Mary as her companion to many speaking engagements. Ruth was honored to attend Mary's AMA Hall of Fame induction as one of her guests. Mary was a dear friend, and it was an honor to accompany her to numerous events and witness the light and inspiration she brought to so many people. She was an extraordinary human filled with love, kindness, and generosity.

Ruth's mission is to inspire women everywhere to face challenges head-on and embrace lives of connection and courage. Today, she's united a global network of women riders who share stories, knowledge, and the joy of unforgettable journeys.

"I want to inspire and empower women all over the world and hope they, too, can face and overcome the fears they may have and tackle head-on any daunting challenges in front of them. Live a life that exemplifies what it means to replace fear with love and allow oneself to live one's dreams, whatever they may be.”
